440g Pure Yak Wool | Undyed Natural Colors | Ethical. Rare. Enduring.

Some garments are loud. This one is confident.

The YakLux Men’s Half-Zip Cardigan is crafted from 100% pure yak wool, weighing a substantial 440 grams for enhanced warmth while remaining remarkably lightweight. Designed for modern life, it delivers exceptional insulation without bulk and natural temperature regulation that adapts to your environment — warming in cold climates, breathing when conditions soften.

This is performance shaped by nature, not synthetics.

Why Choose a Yak Wool Jumper?

Yak wool is one of the rarest natural fibers in the world. Each free-range yak produces only 100–500 grams of ultra-fine undercoat per year, carefully collected through a gentle combing process aligned with the animal’s natural shedding cycle. No shearing. No harm. Fully traceable sourcing. This is often called “Brown Gold” — and once you feel it, you’ll understand why.

It is a sustainable, biodegradable fiber with remarkable natural performance:

  • Superior warmth-to-weight ratio – insulation without heaviness
  • Natural temperature regulation – warms in cold climates, breathes in milder conditions
  • Exceptionally soft and non-itch – suitable for sensitive skin
  • Low-pilling durability – built for long-term wear
  • Year-round usability – reduces the need for multiple seasonal garments

This is not synthetic insulation. This is performance shaped by nature.

Built for the Conscious Luxury Consumer

The half-zip structure allows easy layering and subtle styling flexibility — zip up for crisp mornings, open for relaxed afternoons. The texture is naturally matte with gentle depth, offering understated sophistication that pairs effortlessly with denim, wool trousers, or tailored outerwear.

Quiet luxury, done properly.

The YakLux Commitment

YakLux crafts yak wool garments that honor centuries of Mongolian nomadic wisdom while meeting the refined standards of modern luxury.

Every piece is made from rare fiber that is gently hand-combed — never shorn — in harmony with the yak’s natural shedding cycle, while directly supporting the herder communities of the high steppes.

Rare material. Responsible process. Enduring design.

Care Instructions

Yak wool is naturally odor-resistant and requires far less washing than standard knits. Air it out regularly between wears.

Wash: Hand wash gently in cold water with a mild, wool-specific detergent. (Alternatively, use a delicate/wool machine cycle inside a mesh laundry bag).
Dry: Never wring or twist. Press water out gently and lay flat on a clean towel to dry in the shade.
Store: Store clean and folded in a breathable cotton bag. Do not hang heavy knits on hangers to prevent stretching.

Cruelty-Free & Traceable

Our “Brown Gold” is sourced directly from the free-range yaks of the Khangai Mountains. We practice gentle hand-combing aligned with the yak’s natural spring shedding cycle—meaning no shearing, no stress, and zero harm to the animal.

Regenerative Grazing

Yaks are “light-footed” grazers. Unlike goats that tear grass by the roots causing desertification, yaks graze the top of the steppe, allowing the pasture to regenerate and maintaining the delicate ecological balance of the Khangai Mountains.

Community First

By bypassing industrial farms and working directly with indigenous herders, we ensure fair trade and a fully traceable supply chain.
Additionally, 5% of every purchase directly funds rural education, herder assistance, and environmental conservation in Mongolia.

All Yaklux orders ship directly from our atelier in Mongolia, where each piece is handcrafted with care. International delivery typically takes 4–14 business days, depending on your location and customs processing. We use trusted carriers and provide tracking for every shipment.

For your peace of mind, we offer returns within 10 days of delivery — simply contact us to initiate the process. As a niche, small-batch brand rooted in Mongolian tradition, we handle every order personally to ensure authenticity and quality from steppes to your doorstep.
